Dalma is an Emirati island located in the Persian Gulf approximately 42 kilometres (26 mi) off the coast of Abu Dhabi and 116 kilometres (72 mi) from Doha. The Abu Dhabi Islands Archaeological Survey ADIAS carried out an initial archaeological survey of Dalma island in 1992. A total of more than 20 archaeological sites were identified on the island, ranging in time from the Neolithic (Late Stone Age). The population consists of about 10,000 inhabitants, most of whom are Arabs and Qatari who have been granted United Arab Emirates (UAE) nationality.

This creative initiative is run by the Abu Dhabi Women's Association as a showcase for local arts and crafts. The small museum within is the chance to examine and learn about local artists' handiwork. There is also a shop on site. The round buildings near the museum are workshops where female artists display distinctive Arabian oils, handmade souvenirs, incense, local dress, silver thread work, and weaving. You should remove your shoes before entering each hut, and ask for photography permission.
Ghantoot Polo & Racing Club
Near Blue Marlin IbizaAn oasis of calm and tranquillity spanning 300 hectares of lush grassland, the club boasts world-class polo and equestrian facilities – including eight polo fields, stables for over 300 top-class polo ponies and a 2,000-seater grandstand equipped with a VIP entrance, media facilities and business centre. A variety of sporting and entertainment events take place at the club throughout the year. This is the emirate’s only polo club, and its colonial style clubhouse includes dining facilities with amazing polo field views, a swimming pool and fully equipped gymnasium.
Some 45 kilometres south of Abu Dhabi city, this ‘pyramid’ houses around 200 cars belonging to HH Sheikh Hamad Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan. There is a vast collection of off-road vehicles and classic American cars, the Sheikh's Mercedes rainbow collection and the world's largest truck. Some of the collection was featured in the BBC television programme Top Gear. This is a fascinating collection and a great place to stop on the way to or from Liwa. Opening times are 9am to 6pm seven days a week, but are subject to change.
